Why Flagline?

The flagline is the line from your ball to the flag. Everything here is about understanding that line a little better.

Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a golfer and a tinkerer: the kind of person who builds his own sim setup, tests every setting, and then wants to know whether any of it actually made him better on the course.

Flagline Golf started with a simple question: where do my misses really go? I couldn’t find a notebook that answered it without turning a round into a math project, so I designed one. Shot maps you can fill in with one number per shot. That became the Shot Dispersion Notebook.

On this site and on YouTube I share what I learn along the way: how I set up my home simulator, honest reviews of the gear I buy and test, and tutorials for getting more out of sim software and simple stat tracking.
